The GoPro Hero 4 was released in September 2014 and is one of the best selling GoPro cameras. Until the recent release of the Hero 5 range, this was GoPro’s flagship camera.

The Hero 4 Silver has an LED screen for watching back your videos straight from the camera. The other Hero 4 camera is the Hero 4 Black. This one has no screen for playback but has a slightly better camera and improved battery life.

GoPro Hero Session

The Hero Session is the smallest and lightest GoPro camera: 50% smaller than other Hero models but still with 1080p video capture.

There are two Session models in GoPro’s current range: the Hero Session (formerly the Hero 4 Session) and the Hero 5 Session. They’re pretty similar aside from the fact the Hero 5 Session is the latest model and accepts voice commands for starting and stopping video capture, which is pretty useful for action sports filming.

GoPro Karma Drone

Update: The Karma drone is being recalled by GoPro due to an issue with loss of power. Read the official announcement.

Although you’re not able to get your hands on the GoPro Karma right now, another drone has been making a big splash lately. Manufactured by DJI, the company behind the revolutionary Phantom series of drones, the DJI Mavic Pro is smaller than the Karma drone and still packs a stunning 4K camera. In fact, in many ways it outshines the Karma. It doesn’t have the detachable handheld gimbal and comes with a fixed HD camera.
